Founded in 1555, the Imparatul Romanilor Hotel is a representative architectural edifice in Sibiu, a city with a long history and a prosperous community formed of a variety of ethnicities and religions. Rebuilt in 1895 with three levels, the hotel remains a symbol of the city. The hotel was rehabilitated in 2006 and we succeeded in maintaining a balance between the modern and classic style, which has been preserved in its original form when kings and queens were our distinguished guests. Located in the historical center, on the main street, the hotel neighbors many important touristic and historical objectives. Over centuries, we were honored to receive as guests great international personalities: Carol the XIIth of Sweden, Emperor Joseph IInd, Otto von Bayern, Johannes Brahms, Hans Joachim, Johann Strauss, Franz Liszt and more recently Karl Carstens, former president of Germany, Mrs. Danielle Mitterand, Roman Herzog, former president of Germany, Johannes Rau, president of Germany. The hotel offers 93 rooms: 10 suites, 25 apartments, 32 double rooms and 25 single rooms. All the rooms have their own bathroom, are equipped with cable TV, telephone, radio, mini-bar. The hotel also offers its guests additional services such as massage, sauna, gym. Feel free to use the wireless internet access in the generously wide lobby. The main salon offers 170 seats and is equipped with a gliding ceiling, unique in Romania. The ambiance, the high class attendance and the culinary specialties, the creation of a famous chef, offer comfort and a good mood. The hotel is also delighted to offer the Blue Salon for receptions and conferences, the Breakfast salon and protocol salons for 12 to 16 guests.
