Battle on Snow is on of the most important snowboard competitions in Romania that takes place each March-April at Harghita Mădărași. The story of snowboarding evolution in Romania is so long and so romantic that it one were to shoot an artistic movie it would definitely win a Palme d’Or. Part of this story was built by a handful a passionate people whom committed their entire savings, passion and
efforts to take snowboarding in Romania to the next level. This is how Hargita Mădărași, one of the few private ski resorts in the country, was born. The owners have quickly become supporters of the movement, assisting the RideMore team to create the biggest and most progressive snowpark in Romania. Harghita Mădărași has now become a secret training spot for the freestyle riders living in the area. The man behind the whole mechanism is Kinda Géza, the most awarded snowboarder in the country. His initiative and the Harghita Mădărași project have arisen from the need of having a new generation that can take the movement to another level. Geza has quickly acknowledged that there are some very talented young kids that with the right support, parks and trainings can become trully good riders. Battle on Snow is one of the most representative slopestyle snowboard competitions hosted by Harghita Mădărași resort and coordinated by the super team behind RideMore. The existence of such a competition, which rises to the international standards and level of riding is extremely important for snowboarding to continue to exist in Romania. This year Battle on Snow will take place between March 26-28, with it’s 10th edition and the well-known drill of joy and goodness that RideMore & friends bring together.
