The Space
We have 2 apartments of 95sq meters (each) with 3 bedrooms with double beds and a sleeping sofa in two of the rooms. In total accommodates 10 people/apartment (or more with 2 or maybe 4 children). Great garden to relax in. The kitchen is equipped with everything, and the common place between the two houses is perfect to have great evenings, team buildings or "what so ever". Guest Access
If You take a look on the map, You will see that our place is reachable mostly by car. Train and bus arrival is possible in Csikszereda (Miercurea Ciuc) in this case we can arrange free shuttle transport for You. If You are coming by plane, the nearest airports are Bacau and Targu-Mures (~140 km away). Interaction with Guests
We will welcome You to our house and hand over the keys. We can give You our best advices for what to do, visit, eat, drink, etc. We can even guide You to some interesting tours to discover the beauties of the surroundings. You can take your bike, running shoes or off road vehicle, we can offer you some memorable trips. Check out time will be arranged per each stay. The Neighborhood
In all fairness, Palfalva is one of the most wanted and diverse neighbourhoods of the city Csikszereda (Miercurea Ciuc). Come and explore, you'll love it here. You will find less tourists and more of a sense of how the locals live. Getting Around
Palfalva (Pauleni Ciuc) 4 km from Csikszereda, is a quiet village at the foot of the Somlyo mountain, ideal place for rest and basis to explore the surroundings. The most famous and visited attraction in the neighborhood is the baroque Pilgrimage Church and the Franciscan Monastery of Csiksomlyo. On the main altar of the church is the statue of Virgin Mary with baby Jesus sculpted from linden wood and gilt-painted in renaissance style (15th cent.) Csiksomlyo is a place of pilgrimage from the fifteenth century. Saturday Pentecost hundreds of thousands of people come here from around the world. On the Somlyo mountaintop is the Savior Chapel, with coffered ceiling, built in the memory of Hunyadi's victory over the Turks at Belgrade in 1456. Baile Harghita mountain resort belongs to Miercurea-Ciuc, in the past was known for mineral resources and mofette, now is the favorite ski resort area. Winters are long and the snow usually lasts 4-5 months. In summer Harghita awaits visitors with cycle paths, adventure park and in winter there are many possibilities: ski slopes, snow tubing, skating. There are plenty of other options for tours: Miercurea Ciuc Castle Miko, Nagy Imre Gallery, Millenium Church designed by Makovecz Imre, Marton Aron Highschool and in the aproppiate area our guest can visit Lake St. Ana, Tusnad, Red Lake, Bicaz Gorge, Ghimes region and a lot more. Other Things to Note
Our apartments have 2 full bathrooms (each). The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need (electrical hotplate, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, smart TV, fireplace). We also have high chairs for babies and toddlers. In our garden you will find toys for children, a cute play house with swings and slide and a little creek is just behind the house.
