Dragon Zilant is and official symbol of Kazan from 2004. His name Zilant Dragon he received from the Tatar word ELAN-Djilali (snake). This name is associated with past time of Kazan, when, according to legend, in Kazan lived a winged serpent dragon.

You can see this symbol on the coat of arms, near the Kazan Kremlin and now near the Family Center "Kazan". One of the statues around the bowl represents the male, and the other, surrounded by children, symbolizes the feminine.

Hostel Kremlin offers your a tour to the nature reserve Chodra Mari (87 km from Kazan) right from the hostel door.

Chodra Mari park is located just 87 kilometers from Kazan. There you can walk along the path, see the oak tree near, admire beautiful lakes, drink the purest water from the Green Key, and finally, admire the river Ilet from the observation deck.
