🐾 WE ARE LOOKING FOR HANDLERS – WINTER 2026/2027 TO JOIN OUR SMALL FAMILY TEAM!

Do you dream of spending a winter surrounded by sleddogs, snowmobiles & terrible humour in Swedish Lapland? ❄️

We are currently looking for hardworking, positive and dog-loving handlers /helpers to join us at Oatfield Huskies for the coming winter season!

The tasks includes daily kennel work, handling and caring for our Alaskan huskies, helping with training, preparing tours and keeping the dogs happy, healthy and ready for adventure.
It also includes snowmobiling, husky hiking and icefishing.
It’s physically demanding , but incredibly rewarding for the right person/ people

We are looking for someone who:

Really wants to be around the kennel & has a genuine interest in dog sledding!

🐺 Loves dogs and outdoor life
🐺 Is motivated and not afraid of helping out.
🐺 Can handle cold winter conditions
🐺 Has a positive attitude and good energy! We like to have fun!

We will learn you everything you need but you’ve got to want to do it!

Spring came a month early in Lapland ! ☀️

So that’s a wrap on another amazing season at Oatfield Huskies 🐾❄️

The dogs have been as brilliant as ever ! We’re super happy with them & they’re the reason for the this whole crazy adventure! 🐕 🛷 🐾 ❄️

We’re so grateful for all the wonderful guests, we’ve met amazing people from all around the world once again, unforgettable moments and memories!

The incredible help we’ve had along the way this season has been awesome, you all know who you are,
Thank you for being part of our journey!

Sadly we didn’t manage a competition this year, our priorities was on building for the future! 🤩

Massive thanks to Snowpaw Store (Official) for the amazing equipment for dogs & people alike!

Awesome winter so far! Here’s a few pictures to show you what we've been up to!

February has been great, many happy tourists, gorgeous northern lights, lots of brilliant snowmobile tours , happy dogs and great weather! ❄️
We've even had more snow in the last week so we are loving the trails!

We've been terrible at updating on social media due to being on the sled runners constantly! We've been busy and blessed with amazing guests and super cold conditions that we all thrive in!
The dogs & all of us here love meeting people from all around the globe & sharing our passion of sled dogs & the north of Scandinavia!

It's been a very busy time here at Oatfield Huskies! We've had wonderful guests during the Christmas and new year period, enjoyed loads of sledtours, snowmobile tours, husky hikes and ice fishing activities & some even dared the ice plunge in the lake!! Also several parties under the northern lights, with people from all over the world !!!

We really just want to thank each & everyone of you for coming to us & sharing our passion ! If any of you guys are reading this, feel free to post your favourite pics in the comments!

We have a planned few days break this week, but already cannot wait to hit the runners again next week!
