Yesterday, I shared a little of my story. Today, as promised, it’s Hunters turn! 😊

Here are a few glimpses of his life—from his Air Force days and travels around the world to playing Brazilian jazz in Italy and earning his doctorate at 55. There’s also his love of cooking (including some nuclear-strength chili!) and his favourite place to be: out on the water.

Together, our different paths brought us to Three Pheasants. Thank you for being part of our story—we look forward to getting to know you, too!

We’re so excited that so many of you are following us here—thank you for being part of our Three Pheasants story!

Many of you haven’t met us, so we thought we’d introduce ourselves with a few photos and a little of our background.

Today it’s my turn—a glimpse of my life before Three Pheasants, from growing up in Sweden to working around the world, with a few personal details along the way.

Hunter and I went into Visby yesterday for the Gotland Taste Festival. Such a nice day, even with the rather grey weather!

Lots of local producers, good things to taste, and a really lovely atmosphere around town. We also wandered into the church ruins, where some of the producers were set up — such an amazing setting.

Days like this are a good reminder of just how much wonderful food and drink is produced here on Gotland. And yes, Hunter did manage to find the gin. 😊

Hunter made a big batch of homemade tomato sauce, and somehow that turned into designing a proper Three Pheasants Tomato Sauce label — with the chef himself and Mymlan taking pride of place.

We may have got slightly carried away, but frankly, homemade tomato sauce deserves good branding.

Next question: do we eat it, gift it, or start taking orders? 😄

What a way to close Season 2! 🥂

We’ve just wrapped up our second season at Three Pheasants Boutique B&B, and we’re so happy to finish with a 9.8 guest rating on Hotels.com.

Running a small B&B means doing a little bit of everything — welcoming guests, making breakfasts, fixing things, gardening, cleaning, cooking, and constantly learning as we go. So this rating means a great deal to us.

A huge thank you to everyone who stayed with us this season, left such kind reviews, recommended us to others, and helped make Three Pheasants what it is.

And thank you, Jerry and Josefina, for creating Three Pheasants; we are taking good care of this lovely place.

Now it’s time to take a little breath, raise a glass, and start thinking about Season 3. 🥂

You asked — we listened 😊

A few guests have told us that a handrail on the staircase would make things feel a little safer. So today my husband headed off to buy the materials and, a few hours later, we had one in place!

It’s often the small things that make a stay more comfortable — and we’re very happy to keep improving Three Pheasants, one little project at a time. ❤️

This has to be one of the most extraordinary houses for sale on Gotland right now. ❤️

Hidden away in Fole is this incredible little stone house dating all the way back to the 1200s — complete with thick stone walls, three floors and a former smithy attached to the house.

It’s the kind of place that makes you stop scrolling and start imagining what it must have been like to live here hundreds of years ago. And somehow, after more than 800 years, someone now gets the chance to call it home.

We had wonderful help in the garden from Ellinore while she was staying with us. Not only did she help pick all sorts of berries, but she also built a little bed for our resident hedgehogs! 🦔🍓 Such a thoughtful addition to the garden — and we think the hedgehogs will approve.

We’re loving the strawberries from Gotland! 🍓 We make plenty of jam to serve next season—and, as a delicious bonus, the leftover strawberry juice works like magic in a margarita. Cheers to summer! 🍹
