The northern lights season has begun.

As darkness returns to Jukkasjärvi, the sky awakens. Green ribbons appear above the frozen Torne River, wandering between the stars as if winter were telling an old story.

The lights are born when particles from the sun meet the Earth’s magnetic field. Yet beneath them, with snow underfoot and ICEHOTEL glowing in the distance, they feel less like science and more like magic.

From now until spring, we will keep watching the sky.
