MIDNIGHT SUN COUNTDOWN - 8 DAYS TO GO! In the northernmost point of our municipality the midnight sun has arrived today but in Kiruna, Jukkasjärvi and Nikkaluokta the magic happens next Sunday on May 28. A great place to enjoy the midnight sun is by the Torne River. Wait until the snow is gone and start out from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, or from the pretty village of Kurravaara, and wander off the beaten track in the pristine boreal forests that surround the river. Climb to the top of a hill and admire the midnight sun while drinking coffee from your thermos. Very soothing – very Swedish :) Photo: LapplandMedia & PhotoAdventures by Peter Rosén
