Spring has arrived at Kvarnviks Gård. This year, rapeseed is blooming in the fields around us, and the first flowers are already here. A beautiful start to the season with golden views, fresh air, and brighter days ahead.

Der Frühling ist auf Kvarnviks Gård angekommen. In diesem Jahr blüht auf den Feldern rund um uns der Raps, und die ersten Blüten zeigen sich endlich. Ein wunderschöner Auftakt in die Saison mit goldenen Ausblicken, frischer Luft und helleren Tagen.

A farm without animals never really feels like a farm.

When we moved to Kvarnviks Gård one year ago, there was already a small chicken house here. For a long time we wondered if we should bring it back to life again… and now the time has finally come.

Our chicken coop is full of life again!

Five beautiful Orpington hens have moved in, and soon four more chickens will join them. The hens are already settling in well, exploring their new home and enjoying the fresh spring air.

For us it feels like a small but important step in bringing the farm back to life. A place like this simply feels more complete when animals are part of it.

And of course, we are already looking forward to fresh eggs from the farm.

NU SÖKER VI SOMMARJOBBARE TILL KVARNVIKS GÅRD ☀️

Mitt på den skånska landsbygden, nära Beddingestrand, driver vi Kvarnviks Gård med boende och gårdsbutik. I sommar behöver vi förstärkning mellan juni och augusti.

Ca 3 timmar per dag.

Arbetsuppgifter:
Städning av gästrum
Trädgård & utemiljö
Hjälp i gårdsbutiken
Möta gäster

Vi söker dig som är ansvarstagande, noggrann och gillar att ta egna initiativ. Du kanske studerar eller går i gymnasiet och vill ha ett sommarjobb i en vacker miljö.

We spent the weekend at the Äppelmarknad in Kivik, a tradition here in Skåne that celebrates the apple harvest with markets, exhibitions and lots of local produce. It was a really nice autumn outing for the whole family.

The highlight for the kids was definitely Funnys Äventyr, who had performances on stage – they loved it!

The market is still on until October 5, so if you’re nearby it’s worth a visit.

The cranes are flying south…

Today we watched a beautiful formation of cranes passing over our farm. Their journey is a sure sign that autumn has arrived here at Kvarnviks Gård.
