Happy Kanelbullens dag ☕️

Did you know that Sweden has had an official day dedicated to cinnamon buns since 1999?

Every October 4th, there’s an extra good excuse to slow down, enjoy a Swedish fika and treat yourself to a kanelbulle (or two 🤭

How about to enjoy next Kanelbullensdag in Valstabacken? Or with a Valstabacken mug?

Enjoy a little Swedish pause near Sala

Katrinelund nature reserve is one of those places where you don’t really need a plan.

Just follow the path, find the water, sit down for a while… and let nature do the rest

Coffee in the morning sun ☀️
Fika in the cozy cottage ☕️
A quiet moment surrounded by the Swedish countryside 🏡

Valstabacken has always been about more than simply having a place to stay. It is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply and leave everyday life behind for a little while.

To take a break.

To enjoy your very own
„min svenska paus“

Thanks to a wonderful collaboration with D.A. Keramik , a talented young ceramic artist from Luxembourg and a true Valstabacken fan, this feeling has now found its way onto these beautiful handmade mugs.

Each mug is individually made and glazed, making every one of them unique.

You can now order your own Valstabacken mug, as a little piece of your ,svenska paus‘ at home, or as a special gift for someone with whom you would love to share it ❤️💙

📩 to order, contact D.A. Keramik or me, tack så mycket!

It’s often the little things that make a place feel like home 🏡

Before every check-in, I take a little time to prepare not just the house, but also the special Valstabacken feeling.

Fresh towels. A handwritten welcome. Eggs from the chickens. A cozy coffee corner. Little Swedish details.

Because sometimes it’s the smallest things that guests remember most.
