Hållfjällets tourist station is situated around the tree line, in the mountains of Jämtland, Sweden. It is 8kms from the nearest town of Ottsjö, from where it is a wonderful ski trip, or you can take our snowmobile taxi. Are you up for a holiday 'in the middle of nowhere'? No need to be bored... as the area has a network of crosscountry skiing tracks and snowmobile tracks. You can take a different trip every day. Several windshelters in the area offer a fireplace and fantastic views. There's many other oppurtunities like ice fishing trips, dog sledding, sauna & icebath, and aurora hunting if the sky is clear. The building itself dates from the 40’s and upon entering, you can imagine yourself time travelling. Almost everything has remained in its original state. As there is little electricity, we will mostly use candlelight. We are open daily for fika and lunch between 11.00 and 15.00. We offer overnight stay with full board: a three course dinner, served at large tables, enjoyed together with other guests and hosts, as well as a breakfast buffet and takeaway lunch. We have double rooms with bunk beds, as well as two family rooms. No need to bring bedlinen: your beds will be ready made upon arrival. Overnight stay 1400 SEK per bed
