Happy Swedish National Day! 🇸🇪
On the 6th of June, the Swedish people come together to celebrate their rich culture and traditions. It's a day filled with joy, pride, and a deep sense of community.
How do Swedes Celebrate?
Flag Ceremonies: The day starts with raising the Swedish flag in towns and cities nationwide.
Traditional Clothing: Many Swedes wear conventional folk costumes, adding a splash of color to the celebrations.
Open-Air Celebrations: Parks and public spaces are filled with music, dance, and speeches. Don't miss the chance to enjoy a fika (coffee break) amidst the festivities!
Royal Participation: The Royal Family often plays a significant role in the celebrations, attending events, and greeting the public. This year we welcome the King here in Pajala!
