Max Persson Bagpipes Max is a bagpipe maker based out of Rimbo Sweden. I’m glad my instruments caught your interest. More in depth information can be found on my website.

In 1999 he set out to update and refine the Swedish Säckpipa with his own design, to make it a more well balanced and accessible instrument, using synthetic reeds and high quality materials. My bagpipes come in a variety of different keys, drone configurations and a range of materials. I welcome you to contact me directly if you have any questions, requests and for current wait time on orders. Looking forward hearing from you!

Today we release the first in a series of unique EP's, "Late Music for Early Humanoids", with some dozen other artists remixing or reinterpreting the songs from Vox Vulgaris' latest album, "Early Music for Late Humanity".

This first batch consists of three tracks, exploring different paths to ecstasy, encompassing a wide range of slownesses and speeds.

We are curious to hear what you think of these post-authentic approaches to Medieval Music!

LATE MUSIC FOR EARLY HUMANOIDS, PT 1
1. Madre De Deus (XTC in the XIV interpretation)
2. Madre De Deus (Nelly Quist remix)
3. Actus I-IV (1177 Curadux Mixtura)

You can download the EP for free if you do wish! Or read more about the ideas behind the reinterpretations at our Bandcamp page. 👇

And stay tuned for the upcoming EP's in the same series, to be released during 2025!
