Do you want to bring something unique home from your Stockholm stay? Why not make a little antiques trip part of your visit? Our concierge Kiki has four tips for Scandinavian vintage design.
Bbrandstationen — Hornsgatan 64, Södermalm. High quality vintage furniture, lamps and interior details in a setting that looks straight out of an interiors magazine.
Bacchus Antik — Upplandsgatan 46, Vasastan. One of Stockholm's most reputable antique dealers. Specialising in 20th century Scandinavian design — furniture, art glass, ceramics and lamps by designers like Malmsten, Wegner and Jacobsen.
Söders retro — Bondegatan 44, Södermalm. 130 sqm across two floors of mid-century Scandinavian design. Teak furniture, Sputnik lamps, art deco, ceramics and porcelain from the 1950s and 70s.
Re:Deco — Linnégatan 4, Östermalm. A 450 sqm vintage gallery with 13 different dealers under one roof — furniture, art, crafts and interior design. Close to Stureplan and easy to reach on foot from the hotel.
Just remember to check opening hours during the summer weeks — some shops have shorter hours or may be closed for a week or two just when you are in town.
