Nordem - Nordic Early Music NORDEM, Nordic Early Music, is since 2006 an Inter-Nordic-Baltic network for early music festivals.

NORDEM, Nordic Early Music Federation, är en internordisk organisation för tidig musik, grundat den 6 september 2006 i Stockholm. Federationen representerar tidig musik-festivaler, organisationer och arrangörer i Norden. Den skall verka för att stärka den tidiga musikens plats i det nordiska musiksamhället och bland annat stimulera pedagogisk verksamhet.

On 21 March it’s Early Music Day, organised by REMA – European Early Music Network. As a partner of this international celebration of early music, we invite you to watch a conversation with this year’s Ambassadors: Lucie Horsch and Sarah Jeffery.

Appointed for the 2026 edition, Lucie and Sarah embody a forward-looking early music scene through their artistic careers, educational work, and digital engagement, reflecting the sector’s values of sharing and transmission.

In this conversation, they look back on their journeys, share experiences, and discuss their vision of early music today.

EAR-ly - the competition for future early music stars!

The 7th NORDEM Ear-ly competition will be held on 1-2 June 2023 in Stockholm, in the frame of XXII Stockholm Early Music Festival. This year the competition is open to ensembles.
Deadline for application: March 31st, 2023.

Every second year NORDEM arranges the EAR-ly music competition whose overall aim is to encourage the formation of new early music ensembles and to stimulate an interest in early music among young musicians throughout the Nordic & Baltic region.
