A year of hard work. A moment of celebration. A future full of promise.
On Wednesday, we reached the grand finale of Ice Box Challenge Sweden 2025, and what a journey it has been. Over the past year, we’ve had the honour of following passionate student teams from across Sweden as they designed, built, tested, failed, learned, and rose again, all in pursuit of one shared goal: to shape a more sustainable future.
🎉 This year’s overall winner is Sub-Zero Studio from Luleå University of Technology, congratulations! ❄️ Your vision, clarity, and commitment were truly outstanding.
At the same time, this challenge has shown us that excellence takes many forms. Each team brought something unique, and the jury was deeply impressed by the dedication, creativity and heart on display. We’re proud to celebrate the following recognitions:

Over 60 people gathered on Teams on Wednesday, mentors, sponsors, jury members, university staff, and many more, to celebrate the incredible work of these teams.
To everyone who supported this project, through guidance, feedback, funding, inspiration or simply by cheering from the sidelines, we are deeply grateful.
But the heart of this project has always been you: the students. Thank you for letting us be part of this ride. It has been a privilege to watch you grow, push boundaries, and build something bigger than yourselves.
In the end, we’re not five teams from different cities, we are one community, one team, with a shared purpose: to design sustainable solutions and take meaningful steps toward a better-built future.
