Sometimes you gotta give it to the resourcefulness of tenants; quite amazing to be able to get the shop unit reinstated in 2 days. Anyways, welcoming another new concept in Geylang Road!

I had to post a pic with a client because of my 💋

Another PDD haul at less than $100; I think PDD creates alot of wastages because you basically go nuts with the shopping and buy lots of stuff which you might not actually need. What baffles me most is how retailers are gonna survive ~ I bought the doughnut light for $12 and IKEA is retailing at $59.90. Quality? Same to me.

August 2026 — Completed the lease renewals of a hotel, 2 backpacker hostels and 2 condos. 📝

Did a lot of walking this month, observing new developments and social behaviour around the Geylang area. I’m actually quite surprised by how many new things are happening in the red-light district!

Interesting to see a new commercial building coming up right smacked along Lorong 16/18. If this works out, it could just be the next hangout spot alongside Dapu Hakka Building ~

F&B listings are just so hard to move these days. Rentals aside (which honestly aren’t escalating as crazily anymore), I guess manpower quotas and the overall economic sentiment are also major deterrents for F&B operators ~

I miss the non-AI days where we write without assistance, post imperfect images which are actually okay and get to see the real side of things and humans.

So here is to writing more! Aside from the usual handover, viewings and preparing for an upcoming shophouse sale, I am working on longer runs spanning from Tampines IKEA to Punggol Waterway. Run until 怀疑人生. I wonder how I was able to do a full marathon in the past but I guess I can't lose to the younger me! 😌

This year feels so different because I am actually achieving so much more even though I am doing less. Just stay focused, spend more time with people who truly uplift you and ignore the noise ok ❤️

Life in the last 2 weeks - lots of exercise, nature, viewings, working on new hospitality deals.

I finally got to work with my long time friend, a nightclub operator on the the leasing of a hostel. I hope the new regulations on performing artistes pan out well for this industry, if ain't not, i reckon we are gonna lose the shine in our Singapore night life, which is quite non-existent these days 🌌
