❤️ Humanity in action! Thank you to the amazing students and teachers at My First Skool (Bukit Panjang Ring Road) for their inspiring charity drive.

They sold pre-loved children’s clothes, books, toys, mattress covers and more to raise funds for vulnerable communities in Singapore. The event was so lively!

Every dollar raised goes directly to the Singapore Red Cross' local humanitarian programmes supporting the most vulnerable in Singapore. Want to do your part? Check out redcross.sg/ghc26 now!

What started as a CCA for Sathasviam Krishnarekha grew into a 13-year journey of service. After graduating from polytechnic, volunteering became more than just earning CCA points. It became something she genuinely cared about.

Through distribution efforts and vulnerability mapping, she encountered residents who had gone weeks without speaking to anyone, experiences that stayed with her long after each visit.

“Once you’ve seen that and interacted with them, it’s very hard to convince yourself your Saturday morning is better spent elsewhere.”

In recognition of her dedication and contributions, Rekha received the Singapore Red Cross High Commendation Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2026.

Health preparedness starts with listening to the communities we work with.

Through our migrant brothers and sisters workshops, the Singapore Red Cross, through the Centre of Excellence for Pandemic Preparedness (CoEPP) and Community Health Outreach and Wellness (CHoW), worked with participants to build practical knowledge around everyday health risks, infection prevention and preparedness.

From understanding their health priorities to providing Outbreak Preparedness Kits with practical health, hygiene and first aid supplies, the workshops focused on making health information accessible, relevant and actionable beyond the sessions.

They care for our community. We care for them. ❤️

Behind every act of service is someone giving their time, energy and heart to others.

As our volunteers continue serving amid the haze, looking after them matters just as much. That means checking in on how they are feeling, making masks available, and adjusting or pausing activities when needed.

To our volunteers: thank you for showing up with so much heart.

Suhaifiq Bin Suhaidi thought he knew exactly what he wanted to be when he grew up: a doctor. Joining Red Cross Youth (RCY) seemed like the perfect place to start preparing for a future in medicine. But along the way, his experience in RCY led him to discover another passion.

Today, he hopes to become both a teacher and a medic, combining his passion for helping others with his newfound love for teaching.

“My biggest accomplishment isn’t being the Chairperson of RCY or attaining multiple achievements. It’s seeing the joy on my juniors’ faces and knowing I’ve made an impact on their time in RCY.”

In recognition of his excellence, Suhaifiq received the President’s Youth Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2026.

⛑️ Sylvia’s reason for learning first aid was simple: she wanted to know how to help someone experiencing a medical emergency. She soon found herself putting that knowledge into action when she received an alert on the myResponder app about someone nearby who had collapsed. She responded to the call for help, and the man survived. Today, she still sees him around her neighbourhood.

To her, learning first aid is not just acquiring a skill, but being willing to step forward when someone needs help.

“The pride of taking the initiative when someone is in need has really stuck with me and it motivates me to do more.”

In recognition of her excellence, Sylvia received the Singapore Red Cross Commendation Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2026.
