PCG reflection by Snuffles:
Getting to go to Brani Base and learning what the Police do there and how they train for it was an amazing and unforgettable experience. We got to go on the boats they used to patrol the waters with, and we had a tour of the headquarters and their training facilities which was really unique. Not only that, but the Sirs there who guided us were really kind, explaining the different displays in the heritage corner. They also showed us around the boats, describing the different controls and even letting us try some controls out on the boat to get a feel of what it was like. We also got to learn how to correctly toss a life buoy which was really interesting. It was indeed a fruitful experience and we learnt lots of invaluable knowledge about the PG. olice Coast Guard. We are extremely grateful to our Ma’ams and the Sirs for letting us experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Batch ’25, Muffles signing out! 🫡

On 3 July, we bade farewell to yet another batch of Cadet Leaders. As our berets were thrown in unison following the Passing Out Parade, emotions ran high, a mix of pride, nostalgia, gratitude and relief.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our teachers, seniors and juniors who have journeyed alongside us. The memories forged, challenges overcome, and lessons learnt will remain with us for years to come.

To our successors, Wuffles, we look forward to witnessing your leadership and dedication as you guide RGNP to greater heights! 💪💪

On the last week of the June holidays, RGNP conducted our holiday trainings in preparation for the approaching Inter-Unit Competitions! With the guidance of our CLs and Ma'ams, the Year 2s and Year 3s learnt how to build a flagstaff and refined their shelter building skills. 🏕️

From 3 to 5 June, the Year 3s (Wuffles) attended their CL Camp, designed to prepare them for their upcoming journey as Cadet Leaders. We certainly look forward to see how they will use their skills and creativity to lead RGNP to greater heights as a batch!

Read on for their reflection:
CL Camp was an invaluable bonding experience for us that served as a stepping stone in our leadership journey. Through role play and simulations to train our hard and soft skills, it helped us to hone our abilities and learn how to manage our multiple responsibilities as CLs. We understood the importance of balancing strictness with empathy, and are more confident in our ability to lead the CCA from 2025 to 2026. Most importantly, we gained a deeper insight of our own batch, strengthening our sense of trust. To our CIs, thank you for your guidance, and we will continue to work on our areas of improvement, striving to be the best CLs we can be!

On 27 May, RGNP visited Science Centre Singapore for a Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) enrichment course. Through the course, we explored the virtual CSI setup, learning more about the different types of tools and methods used when solving crimes, from DNA analysis to trace evidence collection. Afterwards, we also had the oppprtunity to explore the different exhibitions in Science Centre.

It was indeed an eye-opening experience that gave us a deeper appreciation of forensic science and the precision it requires. A heartfelt thank you to Science Centre Singapore for your warm hospitality!

On 17 April, our Year 1 to Year 3 cadets participated in the NYGH Inter-Unit Games. We are proud to share that both of our teams have secured 1st and 2nd place respectively! 🥇🥈🎉

We hope that all cadets had a memorable time bonding with their unitmates through participating in each game. A huge thank you to NYNP for hosting this exciting event!

66th NPCC Annual Parade👮

On 10 May, RGNP proudly participated in NPAP 2025, commemorating the 66th anniversary of NPCC. Our cadets marched out in various contingents, including the Ceremonial Flag Party, School Flag Party, and Supporting Contingents. One of our CIs also took on the role of Parade Second-in-Command. In the post-parade segment, several of our cadets in the Mass Display contingent showcased their PDS and unarmed tactics skills.

Here's what our Year 2 cadets had to say about their first parade experience:

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to represent RGS in NPAP. As this is our first time participating in a parade, we were initially nervous and unsure about unarmed tactics and PDS. However, as we progressed through trainings, we gradually gained confidence and mastered new skills that not everyone in NPAP had the chance to learn. This has been a once in a lifetime experience for us!

In addition to learning new skills, we also had the privilege of making new friends with kind and approachable cadets from other schools. A special thank you to our trainers for their patience and guidance as they helped us grow, even when we made plenty of mistakes along the way.

Spending our Saturdays in HTA for NPAP has been a highlight of these few months. It feels surreal that it’s already over, especially when the first training session seems like it was just yesterday.

To everyone who made NPAP 2025 such a memorable experience, thank you!

On 9 May, RGNP celebrated NPCC Day, marking the 66th anniversary of the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC). During the event, we recognised the recipients of the prestigious SPF-NPCC Badge, the SI rank, and the Best Unit Cadet Award. Although it was unfortunate that we were unable to hold the commemoration outdoors with the entire squad, the spirit of NPCC still shone brightly. The recitation of the NPCC pledge reverberated through the classrooms, and we proudly wore our blue NPCC uniforms throughout the day, embodying the values and unity of the Corps.

On 6 May, the Year 1s (Snuffles) participated in the Area 13 Secondary 1 Swearing-in Ceremony at Hwa Chong Institution. With the taking of the NPCC pledge, the Year 1s are now officially welcomed into RGNP and, most importantly, the larger NPCC family. To Snuffles, we hope you will embody the core values of NPCC and grow into strong future leaders as you journey and progress, making meaningful contributions to both the unit and the Corps! 🫡

On 6 May, RGNP held its second Muster Parade of the year, highlighting the discipline and dedication of our cadets. As part of their First Class Drills assessment, eight of our Year 4 cadets also took turns serving as the Parade Commander. Well done to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the parade!

On 19 April, our NPAP cadets took part in Combined Rehearsal 3, putting in our best effort as we trained hard for the parade on 10 May. As part of the parade contingents, we stayed focused on improving our respective components, making every step count as we gear up for the big day! 🫡💪
