BEAT!

BEAT! BEAT! Having kicked off on a Friday night in February of 2006, BEAT! For 6 years it'd been running weekly, but it's since turned monthly to keep things fresh.

residents Ginette Chittick and Joe Ng have been laying the indie-rock fever at Home Club every since. is where the indie heads come home to music like choons from The Smiths, Friendly Fires, Foals, Passion Pit, White Lies, Empire of the Sun, The Cure, Two Door Cinema Club, Placebo to Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Strongly rooted in its vision of bringing independent music to Singapore, BEAT! also plays host to

a multitude of band gigs during the earlier part of the night. Staunch in its belief, BEAT! has provided a platform for all artistes – from budding young talents to established local names like Plain Sunset, I Am David Sparkle, Typewriter, Shelves, Astreal and the Pinholes to players from the world stage like The Jezabels, Handsome Furs and Emmy the Great. Conscientiously laying the fever on the BEAT! dancefloor, the night has seen guest DJs like Kele of Bloc Party, Mani of Stone Roses, Lovefo # # # of CSS, Simon Rix of Kaiser Chiefs, Futureheads, MisShapes, Peaches and Andy Rourke of The Smiths grace its decks. The BEAT! duo has also brought the BEAT! banner beyond Home Club, having opened for BluePrint fashion event, played at Redbull X-Riders event to a 18,000-strong crowd, the inaugural Laneway Festival '11, Baybeats ’09, the Muse after-party, Singfest after-party, the Fred Perry Subsonic party '12, the Lacoste party '12, twice at Kualar Lumpur’s Bar Sonic alongside Twilight Action Girl, the Global Gathering ‘08 in Malacca and Topshop private parties. is blistering HELLFIREEEEEE! twitter.com/ginettechittick
