From lush green tropical jungles, rainbow-coloured coral reefs, pristine white sandy beaches to jade snow-capped mountains, nature is incredibly beautiful.

We are not only grateful for the diverse ecosystems surrounding our properties in stunning locations around the world, but actively seek to protect and nurture them.

In 2019 alone, over 37,500 participants joined us in some 400 environmental awareness activities, including talks, beach and community clean-ups, tree planting, sea turtle and shark conservation, coral reef restoration, citizen science wildlife monitoring and guided nature tours. A further 47,000 participants from 36 properties helped us remove 90 tonnes of trash from the environment.

This World Environment Day, we join hands with the global community to promote a healthy, resilient and sustainable environment. We invite you to help us raise awareness by sharing this important message – and join us at one of our properties to participate in meaningful activities.

Today, we join together with the global community in support of the International Day of Biological Diversity, and tomorrow’s World Turtle Day.

We are truly grateful for the incredible biodiversity that contributes to the diverse ecosystems surrounding our Banyan Tree properties around the world. Lush green tropical jungle, rainbow coloured coral reefs, pristine white sandy beaches and jagged jade snow-capped mountains, to name just some. The endangered sea turtle has remained an important symbol of hope for Banyan Tree, and since our early beginnings has represented our efforts and belief in environmental conservation.

As the world defines new normalcy in the wake of these extraordinary times, we have stepped up measures and heightened protocols to ensure that our sanctuaries are ready when travel resumes.

Partnering with Bureau Veritas to co-develop a proprietary label, we are proud to launch the SafeSanctuary Programme, an integrated health and wellbeing initiative that incorporates over 40 protocols of heightened assurance and wellbeing standards. This will be rolled out progressively from June 2020 throughout all properties.

• You may postpone your trip to a later date without having to select a future day immediately, as long as changes are made 24 hours before your arrival date up to and including 30th April 2020.

• If you would like to change a destination that is better suited to your revised travel arrangements, we will gladly transfer it to a sister property should you wish to stay there instead.

• For any new bookings for stays before 30th September 2020, you can change or cancel your reservation at no charge up to 24 hours before your arrival date.

• For groups and meeting bookings, we will treat each on a case by case basis for maximum flexibility.
