Our story reaches back in the year 1843… Than a gentleman named Franc Medja builds a farm – his spirit is still alive, as our front door has his initials F.M. An important milestone in our family’s history happens in the year 1908, when our great grandfather Jožef Berc, becomes an owner of the farm land. The final step towards tourism is made by Ludvik and Rozalija Berc in year 1954, when they dec
ide to change from farming to tourism. Nowadays this farm is changed into a lovely family – run pension that is operating under the third generation of the same family. Commitment to tradition, creation of warm and cozy family environment combined with eco – product and special cuisine are the main values we are determined to follow. Pension is situated on the peaceful location, yet in the middle of beautiful Bled surroundings, where from the eastern side a spectacular view on mountain range of Julian alps reveals. Our pension is only a three minute walk away from the town’s center and same to our stunning lake Bled. Interior of our pension is a sign of living in nature and what is more with nature. Natural materials, warm and luxurious wood, antique furniture, and when possible rustic accessories breathe warmth and home atmosphere into the space. This is a style that bring us back in days of our grandparents. An atmosphere, that in these hectic times we lack so much. The other objects in our pension are also chosen with love and care, all to make our visitors feel cozy and above all at ease. Our coffee and tea mugs are from a carefully stored grandmother’s porcelain. Little details like that make tasty coffee or tea perfect. We are proud of our almost 60 years catering tradition. It is based on homemade, local and strictly Slovenian products or ingredients. The majority of them are raised at our home’s vegetable and herbal garden and of course our fruit orchard. We have also developed a kind of local product exchange. A net of local farmers where we get products or ingredients we lack. Our pension is surrounded by big garden, arranged and trimmed with love. It is a perfect place to enjoy other peoples company, recreation and the most important your own quiet and relaxing time. Sometimes a refreshing breeze from the Alps creates an atmosphere that chases away all the negative thoughts.
