After a long journey, the last thing you want is to go hunting for a supermarket. So we’ve made your first evening in Ljubljana simple: pre-order a Riverside welcome package two days before you arrive, and walk into an apartment that’s already stocked — fridge full, kettle on, the Ljubljanica just outside your window.

Sunday, 11:00, and the square starts to hum.

Every week a brass band gathers under the plane trees just outside our door — green shirts, folding stands, a conductor keeping time in the dappled light. Locals pull up on the stone benches, someone fans herself through the slow parts, and the music carries all the way up to our windows.

🏐 Volleyball on Water only comes around once a year. A floating court right on Novi trg, world-class volleyball, packed stands, and an atmosphere that takes over the whole riverbank.

The best part? Our apartment looks straight out onto the court - a front row seat to all the action, no crowds to fight through, just open the window and you’re in it. 🤩

📸 The photos are stunning. The videos look incredible. But nothing compares to watching it live, from right above the court.

Ljubljana’s putting on a proper summer show today, but in here it’s all calm: cool air, crisp white sheets, and that lovely quiet you only get behind old apartment walls.
