Description of our Trnje B&B
Our farm is located on the outskirts of the pretty village of Trnje, just 10 km to the A1 motorway junction at Postojna between Ljubljana and Trieste. Our main activites are looking after horses and our long established riding school, but for 2014 we have converted the first floor of our main house into guestrooms offering B&B. These attic rooms are cute and cosy wit
h fantastic views over the fields and to the horses. Our B&B offer includes accomodation and buffet breakfast – try a selection of our home made specialities like jam, honey, cheese, oat and buckwheat bread. The nearby town of Pivka ( 2 km ) has 5 good restaurants and pubs offering local food for reasonable prices. Our location is very peaceful and tranquil – there is no through traffic and for hikers, there are many routes into the forest and around Pivka's unique disappearing lakes, ( these are lakes which appear in the Winter and disappear in the Summer!) We can also organize guided tours from one hour up to complete day trips. For horse riders we can offer riding lessons on our track and guided tours into the countryside for skilled riders.
