Čas hmelja je spet tu in njegovo rast z veseljem opazujemo tudi z naše terase! ☀
Nekaj zanimivih dejstev o tej vzpenjavki, ki nam prinaša veliko veselja 🍻:
🌱 rastlina se ovija okoli opore (vrvi ali kolov) in lahko zraste do 6-8 metrov visoko
🌱 ima ločene ženske in moške dele rastline - za pridelavo se uporabljajo ženske♀️, ker tvorijo storžke
🌱 storžki vsebujejo lupulin (rumenkast prah), ki je ključen za okus piva
Ravno v mesecu maju se zgodi najhitrejša rast rastline, med junijem in julijem začne cveteti, nato nastajajo storžki (najpomembnejša faza), avgusta-septembra pa je čas za obiranje. 🌱➡️🍻

Here are a few interesting facts about this climbing plant that brings us so much joy 🍻:
🌱 The plant twines around a support (rope or poles) and can grow up to 6–8 meters tall
🌱 It has separate female and male plants – for cultivation, female plants are used ♀️ because they produce cones
🌱 The cones contain lupulin (a yellowish powder), which is essential for beer flavor
It’s in May that the plant grows the fastest; between June and July it begins to flower, then the cones develop (the most important stage), and August–September is harvest time. 🌱➡️🍻
