SRS Skywalk Edition, Bassano, Italy (23-30 May).

The 15th SRS takes off this weekend in a stunning venue, where the Italian plains meet the great alpine chain. With epic views of the Dolomites, tasks will mix flats and mountains. He or she who wins, in the land of paragliding and prosecco, will need a very versatile skill set.

It will have the highest WPRS in the history of the SRS, around 77 points for the winner; an unbeatable pilot quality until we have the World Sports Final next July.

The season winners from 2023, 2024 & 2025 will be going head-to-head. Mark Hayman, Christian Durrant and Pal Takats, giving us a masterclass in racing and an epic battle!

14 pilots competing in Bassano have already won a task. Between them, they have won 54% (29 out of the 54) of the tasks ever flown in the SRS! Pal Takats is the grand task winning maestro in the SRS on 7 wins, followed by Luke Nicol on 5, and Christiaan (Serge) Durrant on 3.

The top 6 pilots in the new PG XC Sport World ranking are taking part: Marco Sommerfeld, Tudor Dorobantu, Simon Steiner, Piotr Karolak, Ulric Jessop and Pal Takats.

19 ladies will be racing, including those with the most task wins ever in the SRS: Magdalena Janaway, Riley Ferre, Summer Barham.

Big changes are in the air! In Bassano the pilots will race to an Elevated ESS, 200m above the goal line, instead of a separate cylinder!

It will be a truly international event with pilots from 33 different countries and a wingspan across the generations.

SRS Roldanillio, Colombia, Gin Edition, 9–16 Jan 2026

Roldanillo, Colombia has been hosting paragliding competitions for decades due to its friendly flying and welcoming local energy. The combination of launches on east facing slopes, a big valley with ample landing zones, and soaring vultures showing us how it’s done makes it the perfect place for paragliding. More often than not there are locals willing to help you pack and the cold beer after a long task is never hard to find. How can it get any better than that?

As it takes off for its fourth year, the SRS has become a truly international competition. Pilots will be participating in this event from countries as far apart as the four corners of South America, China, Canada and Europe.

This season we will be starting the official SRS podcast! Each event will be an episode consisting of interviews with different pilots throughout the race, recorded both before and after each task…even including some post flying “beer bloopers ;).” It will be both a technical and fun insight into the community and the flying! ✨ The SRS Grand Finale in Ager is wrapped up! ✨

What a week it was – strong thermals, breathtaking views, legendary routes and unforgettable racing. From Organyà to Berga and even towards the Pyrenees, pilots enjoyed 50–100 km tasks in the company of soaring vultures.

➡🏁🪂The SRS comes to St André-les-Alpes, France for its final event, 9-15 September.

One hour from the busy Cote d'Azur, Saint-André-les-Alpes is a haven of rural French peace and tranquillity – until that is, 130 SRS pilots land there!

St André is a legendary flying playground with complex valley winds, high and low mountain terrain and endless ridges.

The beautiful turquoise waters of Lac de Castillon and Chalvet's booming thermals have made St André famous across the paragliding planet.

A single task can take you from friendly foothills to wild high mountain terrain, to plains and plateaux.

The SRS has also got its own trademark features: some fantastic prizes which at this event will include an assortment of Gin goodies, including gloves and bags. One of the star prizes is a Gin paraglider of the pilot's choice (EN-C and below)!

Also, amongst the top prizes is a Naviter Omni Flarm.🔥

A big thank you to the bars and restaurants in St André for all the 'Special Endeavor' gift vouchers for the pilots who stand out from the gaggle!

There are also smart black backpacks and t-shirts for every pilot. No wonder the competition is totally oversubscribed!

This is the last event in the SRS 2024 calendar. Christiaan DURRANT, Pal TAKATS, Ulric JESSOP, Matias NOMBARASCO and Magdalena JANAWAY are the main contenders for the series title.

Last year's champion, Mark HAYMAN, is lying just outside the top ten and could easily pull it all out of his harness and make a comeback.

As for the teams, it's going to be a battle to the last goal line between the Ozone teams, Masterclass, XC Mag and FlyMaster.

The Sports Class Racing Series (EN B and C wings) is about to head to Montalegre, Portugal, for its next event.

The Larouco mountain range in northern Portugal has fantastic characteristics for paragliding, with several take-offs that cover almost all wind directions.

Pilots can experience a mix between mountains and valleys where it is normally possible to start flying east and end the day flying north. The location is excellent for triangles, cross country flights or simply local flights.

Larouco has hosted many top-level competitions in the past so the local organisation are really looking forward to welcoming the Sports Class Racing Series here for the first time this summer.

With fifteen different brands of glider and thirty different harnesses, the SRS is beginning to compete with the Coupe Icare as a showground for equipment. The vast majority of pilots in the world fly EN B and C wings, so the SRS is a fantastic opportunity to show everyone what's possible flying equipment accessible to us all.

With pilots participating from thirty different countries, this is going to be a truly international event. It's also going to be a friends and family affair, with couples, along with fathers and sons, taking part.

Follow the competition (in eight different languages) via the live commentary, tracking and leaderboards on the SRS's free web app: srs.live. Click on any of the photos in the commentary to enlarge or download them. The app also includes a photo gallery of the pilots competing.

Building on the successes of the SRS in Spain and Colombia there will, as always, be live scoring.

After two events the leaders of the series are beginning to emerge. The youngsters are dominating, but that might all change after this event. Keep up with the overall series scores on the Season Results page on the app.

It's worth remembering that discards are applied to the pilots' ten best scores to give the series winners.

The SRS is delighted to be returning to Krushevo this summer. This beautiful mountain resort is the highest town in the Balkans. The varied landscape includes both flatland and mountain flying. The topography is ideal for a wide range of challenging tasks, including concentric circles and corridor races. Krushevo is a very well-established competition venue and home to one of the paragliding world's favourite take-offs.

The SRS is a unique racing series for pilots flying EN B and EN C gliders (including 2 liners). In addition to the overall prizes, there are prizes for the following categories: EN-B and below, pilots under 85kg, pilots under 100kg.
The Gin Edition will be the fourth event in the 2024 series.

Especially in the competitions, where is bigger difference in performance between small wings and bigger wings.😊

SRS Skywalk Edition, Montalegre, Portugal 7th – 13th July, 2024.

This is the third event (out of five) in the 2024 Sports-Class Racing Series. The SRS is a series of international high-level competitions to crown a Sports-Class Champion at the end of 2024. If you enjoy racing mid-aspect wings, you've come to the right place!

The SRS is for pilots who have outgrown fun and national competitions and are looking to take the next step. It's also for experienced EN-B & EN-C pilots (including those flying 2-liners) who want to finally be able to race on a level playing field. In the SRS, pilots will enjoy all the thrills of high-level racing without needing to fly an EN-D or CCC wing.

In short, it's paragliding racing for a new generation.

The SRS Skywalk Edition, in Montalegre, Portugal will have 6 racing tasks with some fantastic prizes from Skywalk and Naviter.

The flying site is situated in the north of Portugal with high mountains and open valleys, surrounded by vast plains in several directions, with a reputation for being very safe for cross-country flights. It is particularly good, for triangles up to 100km.

The event will once again give prizes to the following categories:

♦ Overall - All gliders in the competition

♦ Standard - All gliders EN-B and below

♦ Women - All females

♦ 85kg class - Pilots under 85kg

♦ 100kg class - Pilots under 100kg

There will also be a Constructor's Trophy given to the top team consisting of a maximum of four pilots.
