There’s something about places like this… 🌿

High above the northern end of Lonely Beach sits what’s left of an abandoned resort — a place that must once have had some of the most incredible views on Koh Chang.

Lonely Beach below. Mountains rolling away to the south. Jungle in every direction.

Then, at some point, it was abandoned.

Why? We honestly don’t know. If anyone remembers this place or knows the story behind it, let us know in the comments. 👇

These days, the jungle is taking it back.

Vines crawl through the buildings. Trees push their way in. Monkeys have turned the old resort into their own private playground.

Raw. Rugged. Tropical.

This is Koh Chang. 🌴🐒

If you’re coming to Koh Chang, we definitely recommend adding a little Koh Mak side trip to your stay. 🌴⛴️

It’s one of our favourite nearby islands — peaceful, beautiful, easy to explore, and perfect for a 1–2 day escape.

Head over, find a quiet beach, take your time, enjoy a good meal, then come back to Koh Chang and keep the adventure going.

We’ve got a few favourite spots over there too, so if you’re staying with us, just ask and we’ll happily point you in the right direction.

A slightly younger, slightly fresher-faced Adam & Jeen here 😄🌴

Back then, we had a lot to do, a lot to learn, and plenty of great people still to meet.

One of the things we’ve always loved most about Beach Jungle is the people — the friendships, the shared stories, the guests who came once and somehow found their way back again.

We’ve always said there’s a little bit of magic sprinkled over Lonely Beach, and we still believe it.

For us, that’s what travel is about: the people you meet, the experiences you share, and the memories you make along the way.

It also helps that Beach Jungle is in stunning Lonely Beach, Koh Chang 🌅🌴

You can probably guess from the photos that the magic of this place almost took our breath away.

We came to Koh Chang, fell in love with it… and ended up staying for quite a long time 🌴

Funny how a place can change your plans.

December 2023 🌴 Our brand-new 12-bed Premium Dorm had just opened, and these were the very first people to call it home for a few nights.

Nearly three years later, we’re heading into another high season — and the dorm is reopening on 1 October 🙌

Beach Jungle has always been about more than just a bed. It’s the people you meet, the stories you share, and those random little moments that become part of the trip.
