in the beginning there was a shala....

Everyone has a story. Mine is finally not just in my head! I’ve been visualizing this idea of having a yoga studio in my shala for ages - and I MEAN ages... like 3 years! I finally decided to go for it! It was so quick that everyone just jumped in and offered themselves to share in this sacred space with me that I knew I was on the right track and that no matter what, if I just keep on going and don’t give up when the going gets rough, that eventually the dream/visualization I have had for so long would be my reality. Sure enough, when we opened our doors just two and a half weeks ago, we had students that first week! I had no signs, no business cards, no thai phone number, nothing... they just knocked as I imagined they would. I wasn’t even on google maps lol, in fact, we were on google maps but in some strange location that wasn’t us on the opposite side of the island. Yea- imagine that. My teachers even driving to the wrong place. But, that’s just it, people still got to us. We even filled a class our first week. Now, we aren’t looking to have 30 to 60 people. Nothing like that at all! So, it wasn’t difficult to fill a class. It’s what I feel makes us so unique. Besides amazing teachers, surroundings and students... we are here to create a yoga lesson for you that is intimate and special. Leaving you in a state of happiness and bliss because you visited this special spot and took the time as well as gave us the opportunity to honor the divine within you. I am so happy to say that now in our third week we are still going strong. Just waiting for YOU, yes YOU to knock on our door. Looking forward to sharing my practice with all of you.
