The first elephant sanctuary established on Koh Samui in Southern Thailand. With the supports from all elephant lover around the world, they have opened a second sanctuary on the island so that more rescued elephants can live a life of ease and dignity. Both sanctuaries are set on forested land, offering a safe retirement home for elephants who have worked exhausting hours in the logging and tourism industries.

Hin Lad Waterfall is a beautiful natural attraction located on Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province, Thailand. It is known for its peaceful jungle setting, natural swimming pools, and a forest monastery located right at the entrance.

Before starting the hike, you will pass Wat Namtok Hin Lat, a peaceful Buddhist temple and training school surrounded by nature.

To reach the main waterfall at the top, you need to hike a 2-kilometer (1.2-mile) trail through lush jungle. The walk takes about 30 to 45 minutes each way.

There are multiple tiers of rock pools where you can swim and refresh yourself after the hot climb. The pools at the top are the largest and deepest.

Thailand opens new arrival e-Gates at Suvarnabhumi to 33 nationalities

Suvarnabhumi Airport has expanded its automated arrival e-Gates to travellers from 33 nationalities, allowing eligible visitors to bypass the traditional staffed immigration counters. The system is currently aimed at travellers entering Thailand under the visa-exemption scheme who have previously entered Thailand and have biometric information on record. First-time visitors may still need to visit a staffed counter to register their biometrics.

Travellers must also complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival.

The expansion is designed to reduce queues and speed up arrivals at Thailand’s busiest international airport, particularly during peak travel periods.

A faster arrival in Thailand is finally becoming a reality.
