มาเที่ยวแหลมสิงห์ นอกจากทะเลและอาหารทะเลสด ๆ แล้ว ยังมีสถานที่ทางประวัติศาสตร์ที่น่าแวะชมอย่าง “ตึกแดง” โบราณสถานสำคัญบริเวณปากน้ำแหลมสิงห์
ตึกแดงสร้างขึ้นราว พ.ศ. 2436 ในช่วงวิกฤตการณ์ ร.ศ. 112 และเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของฐานบัญชาการกองทหารฝรั่งเศสในช่วงที่ฝรั่งเศสเข้ายึดเมืองจันทบุรี ตัวอาคารเป็นอาคารชั้นเดียวก่ออิฐถือปูน โดดเด่นด้วยสีแดงและสถาปัตยกรรมที่ผสมผสานรูปแบบตะวันตกเข้ากับสภาพภูมิอากาศแบบท้องถิ่น
ปัจจุบัน “ตึกแดง” ยังคงเป็นหนึ่งในสถานที่ที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวทางประวัติศาสตร์ของแหลมสิงห์และจังหวัดจันทบุรี เหมาะสำหรับแวะเที่ยวชม ถ่ายภาพ และเรียนรู้เรื่องราวของพื้นที่ไปพร้อมกัน

Beyond the beach and fresh seafood, Laemsing is also home to fascinating historical sites such as “The Red Building (Tuk Daeng)”, an important historic landmark at Pak Nam Laemsing.
The Red Building was constructed around 1893 (B.E. 2436), during the Franco-Siamese crisis, and formed part of the French military headquarters during the French occupation of Chanthaburi. The single-story brick-and-plaster building is distinguished by its red exterior and architecture that combines Western influences with features suited to the local tropical climate.
Today, The Red Building remains an important reminder of Laemsing and Chanthaburi’s history. It is a great place to visit, take photos, and discover more about the area’s past.
