การจินตนาการถึงพื้นที่บ้านเกิดผ่านมุมมองของเหล่า Intern นักออกแบบชาวอยุธยาที่มาร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนและมองหาวิธีการพัฒนาแนวคิดกับคำว่า 'ตลาด' ให้กลายเป็นพื้นที่ที่มากกว่าตลาด และให้กิจกรรมที่เกิดขึ้นในพื้นที่ยั่งยืนอยู่ร่วมกับคนในทุก generation ในยุคสมัยที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปได้
ขอร่วมชมนิทรรศการ Ayutthaya Mercantile Revivel ได้ที่ Kunst Ayutthaya บริเวณ Brick Corridor ได้ตั้งแต่วันนี้ ถึง 30 มิถุนายน 2026 และร่วมแสดงความคิดเห็นในเชิงสร้างสรรค์เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการตั้งคำถามถึงพื้นที่ที่เราอยากให้เป็น และเป็นกำลังใจให้ผู้ออกแบบต่อไปค่ะ

Ayutthaya Mercantile Revival is an exploration of how our hometown can be reimagined through the eyes of Ayutthaya-born design interns. Through a collaborative exchange of ideas, they investigate how the concept of a “market” can evolve into something beyond a place of commerce — a vibrant public realm where diverse activities can coexist and remain meaningful for people of all generations in an ever-changing world.
We invite you to visit the Ayutthaya Mercantile Revival exhibition at Kunst Ayutthaya, located within the Brick Corridor, from today until 30 June 2026.
We also welcome your thoughts, reflections, and constructive feedback as part of an ongoing conversation about the kind of places we wish to create together. Your participation will help inspire and encourage the next generation of designers as they continue to question, imagine, and shape the future of our city.

จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น เมื่อ “ตลาด” ไม่ได้เป็นหัวใจของเมืองอีกต่อไป แต่กลายเป็นเพียงพื้นที่ที่ผู้คนเดินผ่านในแต่ละวัน
ความทรงจำ วิถีชีวิต และความสัมพันธ์ที่เคยเกิดขึ้นภายในตลาดหัวรอและตลาดเจ้าพรหม ยังคงหลงเหลืออยู่ภายใต้การเปลี่ยนแปลงของเมืองอยุธยาหรือไม่
ครั้งหนึ่ง ตลาดทั้งสองไม่ใช่เพียงพื้นที่ทางเศรษฐกิจ แต่เป็นพื้นที่ของการพบเจอ การใช้ชีวิต และจังหวะของเมืองที่เชื่อมโยงผู้คนเข้าด้วยกัน แต่เมื่อเวลาผ่านไป การเติบโตของเมืองกลับทำให้พื้นที่เหล่านี้ค่อยๆ สูญเสียบรรยากาศและตัวตนดั้งเดิมลง
แล้วถ้าอนาคตของตลาด ไม่ได้เริ่มต้นจากการรื้อทิ้งทั้งหมดล่ะ ?
ถ้าร่องรอยของอดีต ทั้งอาคารเก่า วิถีการค้าขาย และพฤติกรรมของผู้คน ยังสามารถสร้างชีวิตใหม่ให้กับเมืองได้อีกครั้ง
โครงการนี้จึงชวนให้ผู้คนกลับมาตั้งคำถามถึงบทบาทของ “ตลาด” ในเมืองอยุธยาร่วมสมัย เพื่อให้อดีตยังคงดำรงอยู่ร่วมกับปัจจุบัน แทนที่จะค่อยๆ เลือนหายไปจากเมือง

What happens when the “market” is no longer the heart of the city, but merely a place people pass through every day?
Do the memories, ways of life, and human connections once embedded within Hua Ro and Chao Phrom Market still remain beneath the changing landscape of Ayutthaya?
Once, these markets were more than commercial spaces. They were places of encounter, daily life, and urban rhythm that connected people to the city. Yet over time, urban growth has gradually caused these places to lose their original atmosphere and identity.
But what if the future of the market does not begin with demolition?
What if the traces of the past — old shophouses, trading culture, and human behaviors — still hold the potential to bring new life back into the city?
This project invites people to rethink the role of the market within contemporary Ayutthaya, allowing the past to continue coexisting with the present rather than slowly disappearing from the city.
