เบื้องต้นโครงการ "เที่ยวไทยคนละครึ่ง" (หรือชื่อใหม่คือ "ไทยเที่ยวไทยพลัส") ในปี 2569 มีการปรับรูปแบบโดยรัฐบาลจะสนับสนุนค่าใช้จ่ายให้ ≈ 50% สำหรับที่พักและค่าเดินทาง (คาดว่าอยู่ที่ราว 3,000 บาทต่อคน) โดยตั้งเป้าหมายแจกสิทธิ์ ≈ 5 แสน ถึง 1 ล้านสิทธิ์ ผ่านแอปพลิเคชัน เป๋าตัง ซึ่งคาดว่าจะเริ่มเปิดให้ลงทะเบียนและใช้งานได้ในช่วงไตรมาสสุดท้ายของปีนี้
