“Makhos” (Thai checkers) — a game that, 20 years ago, everyone could access and play. Before the era of online games, it was one of the most popular pastimes. You could find polished stone tables with mosaic checkerboard patterns in homes and public parks—everywhere you went, it was there.
I used to collect bottle caps to use as game pieces. No Wi-Fi, no batteries—just pure fun and a willing heart. And the moment your piece became a “king,” it felt like turning into a Super Saiyan. 😂 Instead of moving one step at a time, you could glide across the board in a single move. The game isn’t complicated, but it’s incredibly fun.
This is one of the memories I’ve brought here to share with you.
