In 2025, humble abode had the joy of being a small part of so many different journeys—from first-time travelers looking for a quiet sanctuary to big families returning to Thailand. Each of you brought your own energy into our home, and we’re truly grateful for the kindness you left behind—your thoughtful notes, the respect you showed our space, and the smiles shared from arrival to departure.

This year also marked a sweet milestone for our Green Heart project. We loved seeing you embrace our small eco-friendly touches—from our gentle homemade cleansers and refillable bottles to our upcycled Christmas decorations around the house. Thank you for supporting our little mission to keep things simple, mindful, and sustainable.

Every home has its heroes, and at humble abode, this little bottle is one of them. It’s a place to hold water and a part of our sustainable journey. 💚

You’ll find them in the fridge, or you can fill by yourself with the water purifier in the kitchen. Each day, our wonderful housekeeper, P’Pu, will take care of it for you.

We encourage you to bring it along as you go outside, helping us reduce single-use plastic on your Bangkok exploration. We only ask one small favor: please bring it back to ensure it’s available and ready for our next guests.

Whether you’re starting your morning early or taking things slow, just around the corner from humble abode is a little café we really enjoy: .bkk

Set in a gently restored old house just 50 meters away, LIBI feels like visiting a stylish friend’s home—easygoing, warm, and full of character.

Their food is a fun twist on Northern Thai flavors. This time, we tried the Dry Khao Soi—rich, comforting, and just the right amount of spice. They also have vegetarian dishes for anyone looking for a lighter option.

It’s one of the small ways we’re trying to be a little kinder to the planet. We’re not fully eco-conscious (yet!), but we’re taking small steps—like offering towels at check-in and refreshing them only when you need.

We love showing friends around our home — but we love showing our neighborhood just as much. ☺️

Today, we’re bringing you along to Chareonphol Morning Market (ตลาดเจริญผล), a lively local market just 600 meters from humble abode Bangkok. It’s about a 10-minute walk, slower if you’re soaking in the small things.

Tucked next to Lotus Rama 1, this hidden gem opens early — from 5am till late morning — and offers everything from fresh veggies and fruits, to cooked food, snacks, handmade sweets, even clothing.

Most of the food is home-style, made by aunties and grannies who’ve been cooking for years. You’ll still find delicious dishes and desserts for just 10 or 20 baht. It’s simple, warm, and very kind.

We brought our own little container today, just to skip the plastic and get our noodles and soup to-go. It’s a small thing, but it adds up — and vendors are always happy to help fill it.

If you’re visiting us soon, we’d be happy to lend you a tiffin or takeaway box to explore with too!

Good morning ☺️ Bangkok’s rainy season is here, and we know it’s not the nicest feeling to start the day soaked. So we like to prepare a light breakfast — bread, milk, juice, jams, coffee, and sometimes fruit from the market.

The kitchen’s yours too — fully equipped if you feel like making pancakes, tea, or just enjoying a quiet moment by the toaster.

We hope your mornings here feel gentle — and maybe even a little special.
