TROP : terrains + open space : Landscape Architectural Design

TROP is a landscape architectural design studio with a team of designers and construction supervisors. Led by Pok Kobkongsanti, our philosophy is to create unique designs for each project that we work on. We believe that our design process is as important as the design itself, so we work very closely with each of our clients. Since 2007, TROP has been working on various projects throughout Asia.

Currently, our works include Hospitality, Residential, Commercial and Installation design. This year, we have recently won an Honor Award in Residential Design from American Society of Landscape Architects, ASLA, for our Quattro by Sansiri project. Our Garden of Hilton Pattaya is also short-listed for Hotel of the Year 2012 by World Architecture News and also won Thailand Property Award for Best Landscape Design. Seascape, our first project in Singapore won Singapore Property Award, Residential Design Category as well.

This week, we returned to T One in Hangzhou.

The trees have grown, the water has softened, and the garden has quietly found its place in people’s lives. Watching residents stroll beneath the canopy, children play along the water’s edge, and everyday moments unfold within the landscape was deeply rewarding.

Years after completion, the garden no longer belongs to us. It belongs to those who inhabit it
and perhaps that is the most beautiful outcome a designer can hope for.

Surrounded by buildings and parking areas, the heart of Dusit D2 Residence Hua Hin, in collaboration with
, is transformed into a tropical sunken oasis.
The landscape sinks gently below ground, allowing water and greenery to embrace the space,
creating a sense of retreat, privacy, and calm within a compact residential courtyard.

Completed 14 years ago,
the project remains one of TROP’s classic urban sanctuary series.

Surrounded by Bangkok’s massive train infrastructure and crowed neighborhoods, PYNE by Sansiri was imagined as a small urban forest in the center of Bangkok.

Rolling green terrains and reflective water help separate residents from the intensity beyond the walls,
while the deer sculptures, in collaboration with , introduce a surreal presence within the landscape,
as if nature had quietly reclaimed the city.

Hidden among the existing trees of Laem Sai, Phuket,
Villa Zai was envisioned not as an object placed onto nature,
but as an architecture quietly disappearing within it.

Instead of opening every possible sea view,
the project carefully preserves moments of concealment, shadow, and discovery,
allowing the forest to remain the true protagonist.

In collaboration with IDIN Architects,
Villa Zai is honored to receive the Special Mention Award
at the Architizer A+ Awards 2026
in the Architecture + Environment category.

This renovation project in Shenyang began with exposed concrete, ducts, and forgotten rooftop spaces.

We reimagined it as a private penthouse garden,
turning infrastructure into atmosphere,
and emptiness into a place to live with nature.

What was once a technical rooftop
is now a hidden garden in the sky.

A space of machinery became a space of stillness,
where architecture, light, and planting soften the weight of the city below.

A serpentine pathway weaves through greenery,
softly concealing the built form behind.

From drop-off to doorstep,
the journey unfolds as a sequence of gardens,
where movement becomes experience,
and arrival feels gently discovered.
