Position: Front End Web Developer (2 positions)
Type: Full-Time
Front end developer with a talent for HTML, CSS, JavaScript to work in our team, building industry-leading functionality for websites. This role is approximately 40% HTML, 40% CSS and 20% JavaScript. If you have a proven track record of delivering quality web interfaces for high profile clients, we’d love to talk to you.
Responsibilities:
- Write efficient, reusable and well documented HTML, CSS, JavaScript website.
- Use the latest HTML & CSS techniques to build cross-platform interfaces, working closely with Designers and Software Engineers.
- Identify and address performance issues.
- Interact with other team members to incorporate their ideas and vice versa.
- Research and integrate the latest industry trends and cutting-edge front end technologies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years’ experience of cross browser coding HTML, CSS and core JavaScript.
- Ability to coding without using automate code generator tools eg. Dreamweaver.
- Detailed debugging using in-browser developer tools.
- Understanding of web performance, web accessibility, and jQuery.
- Experience with agreeing coding standards across teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of PHP or Java web development.
- Ability to develop responsive design website.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards, SEO and Usability best practices.
- Strong command of client side technologies including object-oriented JavaScript, DOM scripting, JSON and AJAX.
- Experience of developing for mobile devices.
- Experience of web design or graphic design.
- Public speaking and presenting skills.
- Experience with JIRA Issue & Project Tracking Software.
