ในรัชสมัยของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร กำหนดจัดขึ้นในวันที่ ๕ พฤษภาคม เนื่องจากเป็นวันพระราชพิธีบรมราชาภิเษก พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๓ และเคยเป็นวันหยุดราชการ
