Not everything can be saved.
But everything can still have value. ♻️💛

Some donated items are simply too damaged to be reused or sold. When that happens, we set them aside for a local uncle who collects them and takes them away for proper disposal or recycling.

We give him a small payment for his time and effort.

It’s a small part of what we do, but it reminds us that even when an item’s second chance has come to an end, it can still become an opportunity for someone else.

That’s what “Second Chance” means to us.

A heartfelt thank you to the Kispa for generously donating 5 sewing machines to Second Chance Bangkok back in June.

We may be sharing this a little later, but we truly wanted to take a moment to say thank you and share how meaningful this gift has been to our community.

These sewing machines will help us take our work even further — from creating more upcycled products and expanding our sewing workshops, to teaching children in the community valuable sewing skills and giving them opportunities to discover and develop their own talents.

Because to us, the greatest gift is not simply something we receive, but a tool that can create opportunities for others. ✨

Our hearts are with the Debsirin Nonthaburi School community. 🕊️

Second Chance Bangkok is deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place at Debsirin Nonthaburi School today.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the students, teachers, staff, families and everyone whose lives have been affected by this heartbreaking event.

Schools should be places where children feel safe to learn, grow, make friends, and dream about their future. Teachers should be able to do their work without fear. Every child deserves to feel protected, heard, respected and valued.

At Second Chance Bangkok, we believe that creating safer and more caring communities begins with looking after one another — especially our children and young people. We hope that in the midst of this painful moment, we can come together with greater compassion, listen more carefully to our children and continue working toward communities where everyone feels that they belong.

Our hearts are with all those affected.

May everyone find strength, comfort and support during this incredibly difficult time.
