Thai Library Association (TLA) organized the National Academic Conference on “Library Transformation: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and the Annual General Meeting 2026 during 26-27 March 2026 at Prince Palace Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.
On this occasion, many awards were presented to, namely, Outstanding Librarians, Distinguished Patrons, and Outstanding Libraries, together with Top Readers to mark the value of those who dedicated themselves to library and reading development.
The events were honorarily attended by distinguished speakers and participants from library and information sectors as well as IFLA executive members.

Thai Library Association (TLA) organized the 3rd National Conference on Education Management, Library and Information Science Research for SDGs: the Challenge of AI in the Academic Communications,
at Sala Thai Hall, Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Conference included a lecture by an AI expert on the topic "The Challenges of AI in Academic Communication”, followed by Paper Presentation and Awarding of Certificates for 2025 Winners, Runners-Ups, and Honorable Mentions for Academic Paper Presentations & Posters for Researchers and Students.

Thai Special Libraries Group (TSLG), Thai Library Association (TLA) organized a Workshop on "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Better Performance in Research and Library Services" together with the 2025 Annual General Meeting, in collaboration with the Library and Information Center. National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA)
The workshop and meeting took place at NIDA with 3 guest speakers in 3 topics:

1. The Role of AI Literacy in Transforming Libraries into Knowledge Innovation Hubs
By Assoc. Prof Dr.Pramote Kuacharoen,Director of Library and Information Center. National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA);

2. Chatbot/AI Agent: Intelligent Assistant: Enhancing Service Efficiency of Digital Library: A Case Study: "Brother Lifelong"
By Mr. Khomsan Kansompearn, Administration Officer, Technology and Learning Space Division, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KLLC) Lifelong Learning Center;
3. Application of AI to Research
By Asst. Prof. Akkaranan Pongsathornwiwat, Director of the Office of Information and Digital Technology (IDT),
and Director of the Master of Science Program in LSCM (Logistics and
Supply Chain Management), Faculty of Applied Statistics, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

by Satrara Methi Mrs. Suwakhon Siriwongworawat and Ms. Suchit Suvaphab, in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Foundation, by Ms. Kesara Manchusree and Dr. Krisada Sektrakul, organized a Workshop on Learning and Sharing Strategies for Transforming Public Libraries into Sustainable Learning Centers for Life-long Learning of the Communities — eLearning Space @ Lampang Library, presided over by Mr. Kritsana Pinij, Deputy Governor of Lampang Province, at the opening ceremony held on the 2nd floor auditorium of Suan Dusit University, Lampang Education Center.

This event aims to showcase the potential of transforming the library from a "bookstore" to a "public center," a space for learning, training, and career development. The project utilizes library space as a relearning space@library for reskilling/upskilling , a space for developing OTOP products, creating environmentallly friendly innovations, and enhancing the value of various handicrafts. This initiative focuses on sustainable development, improves the quality of life of local residents, and promotes lifelong learning.

This event took place in Lampang under collaboration between the Thai Library Association, the Stock Exchange of Thailand Foundation, and the Sukree Charoensuk Foundation (Lampang Let’s be young band).

October 20-21, 2025, Thai Library Association (TLA) in collaboration with SET Foundation of Thailand organized a training course on “Financial and Accounting Planning for Managers of the Learning Centers in Transforming into Social Enterprises (SEs). This course is for librarians in public libraries of all regions over Thailand to manage activities in promoting lifelong learning through career development to achieve ultimate goals in strengthening Thailand’s economy, using libraries as a platform to improve the quality of life in the communities.
