Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction throughout the resort.
- Directly supervise, coach, train and develop the performance of Room Maids, Cleaners, Gardeners, and other housekeeping personnel build a high-performing and service-oriented department.
- Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, landscaped gardens, back-of-house areas, and staff accommodation.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), service standards, and departmental policies.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily operations, work schedules, manpower allocation, and productivity to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of guest rooms, public areas, gardens, and staff facilities, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, control operating expenses, and oversee housekeeping-related inventories such as linen, uniforms, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair work with the Engineering Department to maintain guestrooms and hotel facilities in excellent condition.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health, hygiene, occupational safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping, implementing preventive measures to improve guest satisfaction.
- Prepare operational reports, analyze departmental performance, and recommend improvements to the General Manager.
- Attend Heads of Department (HOD), operations, and other management meetings, providing updates on departmental performance, operational challenges, and improvement plans.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads in strategic planning, annual budgeting, quality assurance programs, sustainability initiatives, hotel renovations, and other business improvement projects.
- Support VIP arrivals, special events, hotel promotions, inspections, and emergency situations by ensuring operational readiness and effective leadership.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours according to operational requirements, including weekends, public holidays, evenings, and emergency situations.
- Be available to oversee critical operations during high occupancy periods or when management presence is required.
- Lead by example in promoting professionalism, teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and a positive working culture.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in a Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper role within a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort.
