บ้านฉาบดิน 2 ชั้นหลังนี้ออกแบบโดยอาจารย์สมลักษณ์ ปันติบุญ แห่งดอยดินแดง เชียงราย มี 4 ห้องนอน 3 ห้องน้ำ สำหรับพัก 8 ท่าน ห่างถนนคนเดินประมาณ 1.5 กม. ติดแม่น้ำโขง มีสระว่ายน้ำระบบเกลือยาว 25 เมตรพร้อมจากุชชี่ มีที่จอดรถ ต้อนรับน้องหมาน้องแมวค่ะ

e the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It's 1.5 km from the Walking Street of Chiang Khan. The property features a 25-metre swimming pool. It's pets friendly. Mekong Cottage has been developed within a sustainable living philosophy. We try to grow our own food as much as possible. We love fresh, seasonal, organic products and homemade dishes. We enjoy cooking and reading. We love our privacy as much as a nice brunch by the river with family and friends. The house was designed by an artist, Ajarn Somluk Puntiboon, from Doy Din Dang Pottery in Chiang Rai with a support from Ajarn Sayam Pung-udom. The double-brick wall is rendered with mud, straws, sand and cement. A high ceiling and many doors and windows stimulate the airflow nicely. The green and trees are one of the soul-healing features of our property. Setting by the beautiful Mekong River, it makes our place a heaven on earth :-)

Our Story

Mekong Cottage is located by the Mekong River in a small lovely town called Chiang Khan, Loei Province of northeastern Thailand. It is a place where we get settled after traveling here and there for more than half of our lives. It is a place where we call “home”. It is a place where we are living and learning about everything we eager to know. Mekong Cottage has been developed within a sustainable living philosophy in which our way of living will contribute to a community essence. We believe in well-being. We believe that this will make people a happy quality citizen. At the Mekong Cottage, we try to grow our own food as much as possible. We love fresh, seasonal, organic products and home-made dishes. We enjoy cooking and reading. We love our privacy as much as a nice brunch under the mango trees with friends and families. During these years, we are working on the landscaping and house building. We are lucky to have Ajarn Somluk Pantiboon from Doi Din Dang in Chiang Rai and Ajarn Sayam Pung-udom to help design the houses. We try to make it environmental friendly as much as possible. The wall is built with double-bricks locally made, and rendered with mud, straws, sand and cement. We make the ceiling high and lots of doors and windows to stimulate the airflow. Tree is one of the key features of our property. We grow various kinds of tree. They provide nice shade, privacy and make the house even cooler. In 2019, we completed a 6x25m salt chlorine generator pool. On a hot day, nothing is better than jumping into the pool. It makes our property a very relaxing place to be. We have two little cottages open for guests. If you have chance to visit Chiang Khan, please do not hesitate to knock our doors. You may enjoy getting your hands muddy in our garden, or have them coated with flours in our kitchen when we make whole meal breads :-) With friendship, Andrew & Mam
