Our answer is simple…

It’s the chance to “detox”
— not just the body, but also the mind.

Not through a fixed schedule,
Not through a one-size-fits-all program,

🌿 But through the natural rhythm of life.

Through smiles ☺️ and laughter 😀
🙀 Through playing with our four-legged “reception team”
⛏️ Through hands-on local craft workshops, like weaving water bamboo
🤤 Through enjoying wholesome meals, lovingly prepared by Auntie Aon, with local vegetables carefully grown by P’Lek and nurtured together with P’Han
😴 Through resting in a clay house that helps rebalance the body

Falling into a deep sleep
without air-conditioning,
and waking up
with fresh, natural air.

For some,
it might even be the first time
they’ve truly experienced deep rest.

And most importantly…

When you step outside,
you meet ordinary people,
living a simple local life.

Chiang Mai people,
driving past each other,
calling out greetings,

Even strangers
sharing smiles,

and asking…

“Where have you been?”

Sometimes,
you may not even have an answer.

But somehow,
you just know…

You’ve arrived.

Sometimes people ask me why I feel so proud of our trees.

After just two years, the difference is already becoming clear…
What once was empty is now slowly turning into a living, breathing forest.

The first photo was taken two years ago—
back when we had just begun building our little clay home,
with small hands, simple tools, and a big, quiet dream.

We said we would start small—
shaping the earth, creating a home,
and growing a little forest of our own.

And now, that dream is gently taking form.

Being an “auntie” and “uncle” like this…
it’s such a simple kind of happiness.
The kids feel like little seeds,
like a small forest just beginning to grow.
Every time we spend time together,
it feels like we’re planting more and more of that forest.
We were together for 2 nights and 3 days…
but honestly, it felt like more than that.
Like we were really living life together, not just visiting.
Even when we go our separate ways,
social media helps us stay connected somehow…
but nothing compares to actually being together.
We’ll keep watching the kids grow,
step by step, little by little…
just like a forest growing quietly 🌱
