July
This July, we had the chance to welcome and care for people at so many different stages of life.
A woman beginning a new chapter and travelling on her own.
Someone in a relationship, yet choosing to take a journey alone.
Someone starting again after a divorce.
A couple still learning and growing together.
A couple who have now become parents to a little one.
A big family travelling together — parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren.
And two people who have already spent almost half a lifetime side by side.
Looking back, I realised what a beautiful reflection of life it was.
We all travel different paths and carry different stories.
Sometimes we have someone walking beside us.
Sometimes we need to walk alone.
There are beginnings, meetings, love, families, goodbyes, new beginnings — and, for some, the beautiful privilege of growing old together.
July allowed us to witness so many different chapters of life, different generations, and different kinds of relationships.
And Little Forest became a small place along their journey.
A place to land.
To put down their bags.
To eat, sleep, talk, laugh — or simply be quiet with themselves.
We don't need to know everything about the road that brought them here.
And we don't need to know where their journey will take them next.
For the days they are with us,
our role is simply to take good care of them and give them a place to truly rest.
And when the time comes,
they continue on with their lives.
Perhaps the meaning of being a place for others can be as simple as this:
A place to land, Little For Rest , and move on. 🌿 🌿
