Thai Style Guest House in the centre of the old city. Aimed at those individuals that wish to experience the Thai way of life style during their holiday experience. We encourage guests to join us in daily merit making with Monks at local temples and walk down to the local food market and discover the local produce, sights and smells. We are our cafe area at 4 pm daily and offer a range of Pizzas.

Our Story

At Baan Khun Krub, we welcome you to experience Thai hospitality and traditions that make up the Thai way of life (from festivals, making merit in the mornings, experiencing local markets, partaking in local Thai traditions). Our aim is to create an atmosphere of feeling at home (Baan Khun Krub, simply translated means “house/ home for the people)”.

Situated in as small Soi (a road), the Centre of the old town, Baan Khun Krub has unique rooms for you to experience the authentic Thai experience. All our rooms are configured differently.

The guest house accommodates between 9– 18 people at one time when fully booked

Baan Khun Krub consists of 2 original 2 story wooden houses (originally constructed over 50 years ago) made from teak wood, these have been renovated to capture the architecture of a typical Thai houses in Chiangmai. The rooms have been kept simple and tasteful to ensure our guests have the modern comforts.

We believe in supporting the local community and employ our staff from the local and surrounding communities. We buy local produce for our café and use organic vegetables and fruits.

Rooms

All rooms at Baan Khun Krub are unique and are inspired and influenced by Thai architecture from Northern Thailand.

We have a range of rooms to suit most guest requirements: families with young children, families’ senior travelers requiring assistance with mobility and newly weds

Our room configuration also allows us to section off 2 two rooms of the main house with its own entrance so that it becomes an ideal combined area for 4 or 5 guests or a family.

There is something for everyone if you enjoy living in our traditional nature inspired environment.
