We’re so excited to welcome artist and teacher Kristen Lazarini to our space on Saturday 21st June!

Kristen is a watercolor artist, educator, and retreat host whose work is all about joy, color, and connection. Her art is known for its vibrant palette, rich textures, and striking use of shadow — drawing your eye in and reminding you of the beauty that’s always present in everyday life.

She paints not just what she sees, but the feeling of a moment — using watercolor as a way to slow down, breathe, connect with self and nature.

On June 21st, she’ll be leading a Watercolor Day Retreat at our serene garden villa space. This is a chance to explore your creative side in a gentle, supportive space — no experience needed.

What started as a quiet love for watercolor in a village in Myanmar has now become something I get to share with others here in Thailand — and it still feels like a dream.

🌿 On June 21, I’ll be teaching a Watercolor Day Retreat at Saraphi House, a peaceful garden villa just outside Chiang Mai. It’s more than a workshop — it’s a space to breathe, to notice beauty, and to remember your creative self.

I’ll walk you through painting a lush Thai landscape, step-by-step. No experience needed — just come as you are. We’ll enjoy lunch together in the garden, and if you’d like to stay overnight and make it a creative weekend, we’ve got a few villa rooms available too.

Hey, let’s go to Thailand together in November 2024 🥹🇹🇭 I crafted our eight-day itinerary with love, so you can sit back and relax. Three rooms left!

Now let’s daydream💭:

Our retreat will begin with a happy dance as we check-in to Saraphi House, who will host us for the next week. Saraphi is the name of the district in Chiang Mai we are situated in, as well as the name of a local flower! Blossom and grow during your stay at this 12-acre property.

Throughout the retreat, we will have plenty of free time to explore the grounds, indulge in traditional Thai massage, and take part in a cooking class in a traditional pavilion on a nearby farm. You will also have the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of Chiang Mai, from the famous Tha Phae Sunday Walking Street to local Thai restaurants.

This retreat is not just about exploring the sights and sounds of Thailand. We will also focus on our spiritual well-being with daily yoga and meditation sessions, and even experience a blissful sound bath at the comfort of our own villa. These classes will be the perfect opportunity to connect with your inner self, find inner peace, and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul.

One of the trip highlights will be a visit to an elephant sanctuary, where we will have the opportunity to interact with these gentle giants in a “no touch” responsible and ethical manner. The elephant, as a national treasure of Thailand, is a sacred symbol of the Thai people 🐘

Embark on a meditative hike passing nearby waterfalls and visit the Wat Pha Lat Temple, where we connect with the spiritual side of Thailand, and no trip to Chiang Mai is complete without experiencing the serene Doi Saket Temple and witnessing the mesmerizing monk chants! Before heading back home, take in the beauty of the Loy Krathong with a craft session at the villa as we let go of any “old” energy and welcome in new beginnings.
