Built in 1997 and conceived by the architect office founded by M.L. Santhaya Israsena na Ayudhya, Chiangmai Hideaway was built for a large family. Following the concept of a traditional Thai house, the three main houses are set around a swimming pool. They are shielded from the sun by covered teak terraces from where guests have a breathtaking view of the paddy fields, the garden and the mountains.
Guests will be welcomed by the owners, Emmmanuel and Elisabeth Polaczek-Hofland. Emmanuel spent most of his professional life in various African countries; meanwhile Elisabeth was steeped in Asian culture from early childhood. Between them they speak perfectly French, English, German, Dutch, and of course Thai.
This means that whenever an interpreter is necessary, something special needs to be organized or to be handcrafted, they are there to help. Their long time knowledge of the country and private list of weavers, potters and wood-carvers amongst other artists avoids tedious searching and loss of precious time.
One house composed of three beautiful bedrooms is available for short-term as well as long-term stay. Special offers can be made to families or groups wishing to find a place to spend time together.
Prices will be updated soon , meanwhile feel free to send your requests by e-mail or telephone ; we will gladly respond to you as soon as possible.
