Songkran in Chiang Mai 💦🌸
There’s nothing quite like Songkran up here in the north… the whole city comes alive with water, laughter, and pure energy. From the moat to the old city streets, it turns into one giant water fight — buckets, hoses, water guns… no one stays dry 😄
But it’s more than just the fun. Songkran is Thailand’s traditional New Year, a time to wash away the past and start fresh. Locals visit temples, pour water over Buddha statues, and gently sprinkle water over elders’ hands as a sign of respect and blessing.
