It has been over 12years of planting trees including golden teak, cherry blossom, all types of bamboo, local flower trees and fruits ( longan, lychee, mango, rambutan, bananas, pineapples, passion fruits, dragon fruits, mulberries and many other local fruits). The operation in the area is without insecticide and neither kind of chemical usage. Organic approach was strictly employed to improve the quality of soil and underground water.
Sufficiency economic is the main operation methods.
Coffee and tea plantations are recently grown for our own used products. We produce organic tea from our own tea leaves, coffee flowers and mulberries leaves.
The best time to stay in the ecolodge is between 1 October-28 February. Then the ecological succession is allowed the rest of the year. This may result in untidy look and messy (with dry leaves every single inch of the land).
What is "ecological succession"?
"Ecological succession" is the observed process of change in the species structure of an ecological community over time. Within any community some species may become less abundant over some time interval, or they may even vanish from the ecosystem altogether. Similarly, over some time interval, other species within the community may become more abundant, or new species may even invade into the community from adjacent ecosystems. This observed change over time in what is living in a particular ecosystem is "ecological succession".
After 12years of operation, now there are many soil worms and plenty of firer flies in addition to variety of birds , wild rabbits and other small animals.
