Please be assured that Chumphon town is NOT currently affected by the heavy flooding reported in Thailand's Deep South.

The severe flood incidents are primarily concentrated far south in Hat Yai (Songkhla) and Trang province. Chumphon remains secure and fully operational.

Boonsiri High Speed Catamaran has announced an important temporary change to its departure and arrival location in Chumphon province. Effective November 1st, all Boonsiri ferry services will temporarily relocate from the existing Paknam Sai Kao Pier to Mattapone Pier (former Song Serm ferry pier).

The high-speed catamaran service will continue to operate its popular route connecting the mainland of Chumphon with the Gulf of Thailand's key island destinations: Koh Tao, Koh Pha Ngan, and Koh Samui.

The temporary pier adjustment is set to ensure continued smooth operations for all travelers utilizing Boonsiri's services. Passengers with existing bookings or those planning to travel on or after November 1st should take note of this change and adjust their travel arrangements to arrive at the new location: Mattapone Pier.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card ( TDAC ) is a new digital system replacing the paper TM6 immigration form for all foreign nationals visiting Thailand. The online form must be submitted before arrival to streamline the entry process.

A foreign backpacker visiting Thailand for the first time planned to head to Koh Tao in the South, but due to a miscommunication, he ended up in Doi Tao, nearly 1,200 kilometers away in the North. During his journey back, he lost his wallet, but fortunately, the story had a happy ending. The confusion occurred when the driver misheard the backpacker's destination and thought he said "Doi Tao" instead of "Koh Tao."
