𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗶 🌊

Stretching for around 600 km, the Ping River begins in the mountains of Chiang Dao before flowing south through Chiang Mai, including Hot, home to The Bush Camp. It continues through Tak and Kamphaeng Phet before meeting the Nan River in Nakhon Sawan to form the Chao Phraya River.

For centuries, the Ping River has been the lifeline of the Lanna region—providing water for agriculture and daily life, connecting communities, and supporting trade along its banks.

Today, this historic river is part of the view from The Bush Camp, where you can pause and appreciate a small yet beautiful chapter of its remarkable journey. 🌿

🚐 The Journey to The Bush Camp

From your hotel or Chiang Mai Airport, it takes around 2 hours to reach our camp in the mountains.

During the first hour, we’ll make a short stop at a local convenience store — a chance to stretch your legs, take a little break, and pick up your favourite snacks or drinks for the journey. 🍪🥤

Then, it’s back on the road as we leave the city behind and head deeper into the green landscapes of Chiang Mai.

Before noon, you’ll arrive at The Bush Camp, ready to slow down, settle in, have lunch and start your adventure with us. 🐘🌿
