The annual crop of rice farming using transplanting technique at the Pilot Project at 10 days old when the rice seedlings started acclimated to the new growing environment by showing their leafy greens all around.

โครงการต้นแบบในพระราชดำริโคกหนองที่ พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี อายุ3ปี8 เดือน ต้นไม้ในโครงการได้รับการตัดแต่ง ให้อยู่ในสภาพสมบูรณ์ ต้นไหน ดูท่าจะไปไม่รอด ก็ต้องตัดทิ้ง
The Pilot Project on the maximization of land use under the Royal Initiatives at 3 years and 8 months old on 27/08/26 ;we have started some trimming jobs to let those strong enough to compete in height while those with no future are cutting down.It’s the law of the jungle; the survival of the strongest.

วันนี้19/08/69 การดำนาด้วยเครื่องจักร ฤดูกาลข้าวนาปี ที่ พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรีสำเร็จลงด้วยดี หลังรอคิวมาหลายวัน เพื่อนบ้านที่ยังคงใช้วิธีการทำนาหว่านได้ทำเรียบร้อยก่อนหน้านี้ประมาณ1สัปดาห์แล้ว.
ขั้นตอนต่อไปก็จะคล้ายคลึงกันทั้ง2 วิธีการ ไม่ว่าจะหว่านหรือดำ ต้องควบคุมวัชพืชและดูแลจัดการน้ำให้เหมาะสม หวังว่าจะได้ผลผลิตไม่น้อยกว่าข้าวนาปรัง.
We have done the transplanting of rice seedlings for the annual crop at Pundao homestay Kanchanaburi today after queuing up for the transplanting machine for days while those neighbours using the broadcasting technique had finished their tasks a week earlier.
What is going to happen from now on till the harvest is almost the same for these 2 different methods of rice farming that is weeds control and a proper water management..
We hope very much that the yielding of this annual crop would be far better than the dry season crop.

รายงานความคืบหน้า ของการทำของนาปี ในโครงการต้นแบบในพระราชดำริโคกหนองที่พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี ขณะนี้ เตรียมพร้อม การ ปักดำ ด้วยการ ผันน้ำท่วมนา เพื่อเป็นขบวนการเร่งการเน่าเปื่อยของตอข้าวจากการทำข้าวนาปรังที่ผ่านมา และเพื่อทำให้ดินในนามีคุณภาพดี
ครั้งนี้จะเป็นการทำนาดำ เป็นครั้งที่2 หลังจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงวิธีการจากการทำแบบดั้งเดิมด้วยการหว่าน
วิธีการปักดำใช้น้ำ มากกว่าการทำนาหว่านและนาทุกแปลงไม่สามารถจะทำด้วยวิธีการเช่นนี้ได้ เว้นเสียแต่ว่า ชาวนามีแหล่งน้ำพร้อม หรือมีการบริหารจัดการน้ำได้ดี
Updating you on the progress of the annual rice farming for 2026 at the Pilot Project on the maximisation of land use under the Royal Initiatives at Pundao homestay Kanchanaburi.
We are ready and now flooding the leveled fields in order to speedy up the decaying process of those rice stalks left over from the previous dry seasons rice farming ..This flooding technique would definitely enrich the soil before we start the transplanting process in few days’ time.
We are confident and still stick to this technique for years to come but not every piece of land is suitable for the transplanting method unless you are blessed with your own water source and a proper water management.

โครงการต้นแบบในพระราชดำริโคกหนอง ที่ พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี อายุ3 ปี7 เดือน มะพร้าวน้ำหอม 2สายพันธุ์ :พวงร้อย และ บ้านแพ้ว 33 ต้น ที่ปลูกไว้ตั้งแต่เริ่มแรกและรอดมาได้ เริ่มออกจั่นเป็นต้นแรกแล้ว ตอนนี้กำลังเรียนรู้วิธี การแต่งกอเพื่อรอรับ การแทงจั่นของตันอื่นๆที่กำลังตามมา และต้องรออีกประมาณ6 เดือนถึงจะเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตได้

Updating you on the Pilot Project on the maximisation of land use under the Royal Initiatives @ Pundao homestay Kanchanaburi at 44 months old today with the 1st coconut tree , from the total 33 remaining of them,is starting to show its spadix .
We need to wait for another 6 months until we could possibly have the first taste of these young coconuts. In the mean time,we are learning how to trim those coconut trees in the hope of welcoming more blooming.

พอฟ้าเปิดก็ต้องรีบจัดการเกี่ยวข้าวให้เสร็จโดยเร็ว เรื่องฟ้าฝนช่วงฤดูการเก็บเกี่ยวเป็นสิ่งที่ชาวนาทั้งประเทศไม่ต้องการเสี่ยง
ข้าวนาปรัง อายุ120 วันพอดี ต่อการเก็บเกี่ยววันนี้. โดยที่ฤดูกาลทำข้าวนาปีจะเริ่มประมาณปลายเดือนสิงหาคมนี้
พันดาว โฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี จะยังคงใช้วิธีการปลูกข้าวแบบปักดำต่อไปสำหรับฤดูกาลหน้าครับ
Once the sky is clearing up even for a short period of time,the harvest was being carried out before another rain shower set in. Having some rain at the harvest period is one of those many factors for farmers nationwide.
It’s exactly 120 days since we started the dry season crop .
In season crop is about to begin by late August at the latest.At Pundao homestay Kanchanaburi,we still stick to the transplanting technique of rice cultivation just like we did with the off season crop.

มองไกลๆอาจไม่เห็นความแตกต่างแต่เมื่อมองใกล้ๆจะเห็นว่ามันต่างจากรวงข้าวอย่างเห็นได้ชัดเจน
พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี เข้าร่วมเป็นโครงการต้นแบบในพระราชดำริโคกหนองนามาได้3ปีเศษ แล้ว เราพยายามทุกวิถีทางที่จะเป็นผู้นำในการเปลี่ยนแปลงวิธีการทำนา เพื่อเป็นแนวทางทางการเพิ่มผลผลิต
อย่างแรกที่ต้องมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงในหมู่ชาวนาคือ วิธีการคิด และเลิกทำด้วยความเคยชิน.
ปัญหาคือการเปลี่ยนแปลงทุกอย่าง มีค่าใช้จ่าย ชาวนาทุกครัวเรือนอาจจะไม่พร้อม ขอภาครัฐช่วยดูแลราคาข้าวด้วยครับ.
This last post showing you the closer look of weeds flowers which is not easy to distinguish by those unfamiliar eyes.
As Pundao homestay Kanchanaburi has been selected as the pilot project for more than 3 years so far and we are doing our utmost part of setting examples and doing the leading role for those farmers who dare to make changes by stepping out of their comfort zone and changing the mindset of rice farming.
The inconvenient truth is that every change comes with the price and not every farmers are ready to follow suit.
We do hope very much that those authorities concerned are doing their jobs to take care of the price quotations of paddies for this dry season crop for the benefits of Thai farmers nationwide .

การทำนานอกฤดูกาลไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย เพราะหน้าแล้ง เมล็ดวัชพืชจะถูกลมพัดกระจายไปทั่ว และเมื่อลอยมาตกในนาปรังที่มีน้ำ มีความชื้นมากมายจึงทำให้การเเติบโตก้าวกระโดด
โพสต์นี้แสดงให้เห็นถึง นาปรัง 2 รูปแรก ที่มีการดูแลรักษาอย่างต่างกันโดยสิ้นเชิง แปลงที่ใด้รับการดูแลอย่างดี (รูปซ้าย) และ นาปรังที่ถูกปล่อยตามสภาพขาดการดูแล(รูปขวา)
จะเห็นว่าแปลงนาด้านซ้ายเต็มไไปด้วยรวงข้าวสวยงาม ในขณะที่แปงด้านขวาเต็มไปด้วยวัชพืชออกดอกขาวโพลนเต็มท้องนา มองไม่เห็นต้นข้าว

Doing rice farming in off season is definitely an easy task : i requires 100% attention to every details from farmers.
Showing you here on the first 2 pictures are 2 plots of rice fields which are giving 2 different yields.
The plot on your left is from the pilot project while the one on the right is being done by not a so serious farmers
It is obviously seen the plot on the left is full o rice ears/spikes while the one on the right is completely cover by those white blooming of weeds !.

ข้าวนาปรังด้วยวิธีการปักดำอายุ2เดือน 7 วัน ที่โครงการต้นแบบในพระราชดำริโคกหนองนา พันดาวโฮมสเตย์กาญจนบุรี ข้าวออกรวงสพรั่ง เต็มท้องนา วัชพืชน้อยมากจนเกือบจะสังเกตไม่ได้ นับว่าเป็นการตัดสินใจที่ถูกต้องในการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบการทำนาจาก การหว่าน มาเป็นวิธีการปักดำ
โดยสิ่งที่เห็นได้ชัดเจนคือ ควบคุมวัชพืชได้ง่ายขึ้น และข้าวรวงโต กว่าวิธีการการหว่านอย่างเห็นได้ชัดเจน
คาดว่าจะเก็บเกี่ยวได้ประมาณกลาง เดือนกรกฎาคมนี้
Updating you on the most recent look of the rice fields on the Pilot Project on the maximisation of land use under the Royal Initiatives @ Pundao homestay at 2 months and 7 days old.
We switched from the old technique of broadcasting to transplanting which is definitely the right decision by the following advantages: we are having a much bigger ears/spikes of paddy and those invading weeds are easily put under control without using too much weeds killer.
Harvest is scheduled by mid July at the latest.
